EUROSPORT EVENTS, the promoter of the INTERCONTINENTAL RALLY CHALLENGE, is delighted to announce unprecedented live television production from the 45th Belgium Ypres Rally, which forms round five of this year's IRC series from June 18-20.
With only a month to go to the event, the preparations for the Belgium Ypres Rally are on full tilt. And the Superstage organisors are introducing a few new things to serve the public better still. The Belgian leg of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, which is also the most important race of the national season, will launch a new and unique system to guide the spectators to the stages. Simple and logical signposting will guide as well the diehard rallyfans as the occasional tourist to the public zones along the stages.

Peugeot becomes the "Official Car Supplier" for the Ypres Rally
Thursday, 30 April 2009 19:20
The Belgium Ypres Rally has got a new partner for its 2009 event. The Peugeot importer for Belgium and Luxemburg (PBL) will be the official supplier of cars for the BYR organisation.
Peugeot has a solid reputation in rallying and their current programme in the IRC with Freddy Loix and 2008 IRC champion Nicolas Vouilloz underlines clearly their ambitions. In past years we have seen Bruno Thiry's participation in the European Championship with the support of the Belgium-Luxemburg importer of Peugeot. Partnering up with the BYR fits exactly in this drive to be at the forefront of our sport.

Cycling Champions Bettini and Ballerini lured to the Belgium Ypres Rally
Monday, 20 April 2009 18:04
In contrary to what has been published already by some, Paolo Bettini and Franco Ballerini do not have the entire budget yet to take it to the starting line of the next Belgium Ypres Rally. The cycling champions are working on it however.
We are getting closer and closer to the start of the Belgium Ypres Rally 2009. Especially teams and drivers need to start getting their act together. The organisers have done everything to welcome the top teams and large numbers of spectators in Ypres again.
The drivers can put their name down from April 14th as the registrations will start on that date. The cost will remain the same as in 2008. The registration forms can be found on our website www.ypresrally.com under the category "Participants". The Rallyguide 1 and the forms for the servicepark can be found in the same location. Hotel reservations can also be put through our website and we would recommend all teams to book as early as possible to guarantee rooms close to the service park.
It is now official: the Flemisch motorsport event of the year, ie. The 45th Belgium Ypres Rally and the Ypres Historic Rally, will go ahead from 18 until 20 June 2009.
Just like in the former years, the rallies will count for the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, the European and Belgian Rally Championship and the Europeand and Belgian Historic Rally Championship. The rallysprint of Monteberg also got saved due to this development.
